Hey guys!
Just wanted to let you know that the Classical Book Club is taking a break for the month of May. I am moving house again and I have multiple work projects.
With engagement down across the board, this seems like a good time to take a little break.
If anyone was interested in helping run this book club and writing the posts, or even taking over it (I’m not asking for any money!) then feel free to send me an email or a message on Substack.
I’d love to keep taking part, but we probably need to promote it a little more to boost engagement and I just don’t have the time right now!
If you have any thoughts—or you want to get involved—please get in touch.
Otherwise, I hope we can run the club again in June. But for now, a few weeks off seems like a good idea!
Take care & I’ll speak to you all again soon.
Hope your move is easy. And that you return refreshed. I think in the turmoil of the current moment, it is hard to run a monthly classics oriented book club. Unless selections relate to that moment. Say Dreiser’s American Tragedy or Macbeth. Or The Immoralist by Andre Gide?
