White Nights Discussion - Sunday 22nd December!
We'll meet in the Substack chat at 8pm GMT/3pm ET.
Hey!
My apologies for the slow month. I’ve been busy and had a few different bits on and totally fell behind on all my work.
I’m hoping to share a post with you later this week about White Nights and Fyodor Dostoyevsky so watch this space!
In the meantime, we’re going to be meeting in the Substack chat at 8pm GMT/3pm ET this Sunday the 22nd December to chat about the novel.
If you can’t make it during that exact slot, don’t worry because the posts will stay open for you to read and engage with throughout the week!
It’s really short, so don’t panic if you haven’t started reading it yet - I still haven’t had chance to! I get that December is a super busy time, but at the very least it’s probably a book you can finish in a sitting or two.
After Sunday, I’ll share a post with you about January’s book selection.
I haven’t thought about a January book yet, so anything you’d like to see please do leave a comment below! It just needs to be a classic novel so something published at least half a century ago ideally. Totally open to different genres and ideas, too!
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Take care.
For January, I would like to add some books, I haven't read any of them but they all are classics and quite short, so I believe they can be possible contenders for the January pick.
1. Of Mice And Men by John Steinbeck
2. The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (Also known as Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde) by Robert Louis Stevenson
3. Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe
4. Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka
These are my suggestions for the January pick, anyways, I will start White Nights today and hopefully will be able to finish it by the next Sunday. Really excited for the discussion!
I’m in the middle of the third night. There is suspense!
