I first read Jamaica Inn as a very small child in the ‘50’s, and have read it several times since. I stole it from my parents’ bookshelf and I still have it.
Glad you’re looking forward to it! I’m the exact same actually - given she lived somewhere I spent a lot of time growing up, I’ve always felt bad for not having read much of her work.
I bought a copy for my daughter a few years ago, in the bookshop at Jamaica Inn. She’s just retrieved it and left it out for me. To anyone who enjoys this book, I also bought The House on The Strand. When you have time, grab it. It’s epic!

Thanks! I’ll start reading today. I’ve read some of du Maurier’s short stories but none of her novels so am looking forward to this.
